Diary Event

We are now in a busy time of year with most members wanting to play the course whenever possible. Can you please help to enable others to play as follows;
a) Book tee times and joining others if you are a single or two players.
b) When booking, insert all names of players on the booking or leave other spaces open so that members can join your group.
c) If you are playing as a 2 ball at a busy time, then it will obviously be slow for you if you are amongst 3 or 4 balls.

The computers in the Men's and Ladies Changing Rooms can now be used to book or view tee times through the BRS system. If the Pro Shop is busy or closed then you can book there.

Week of Monday 12th to Friday 17th May - the Club is hosting the HSBC Golf Week. There are times available each day for members, but HSBC are obviously taking up many tee times during the week, particularly in the mornings. Just a reminder that we have reduced green fee rates with other courses on our Passport Scheme including; Wallasey, Sandiway, Delamere Forest, Notts, Sherwood Forest, Moortown, Little Aston and Woburn.

If you have any clubs less than 3 years old, we can sell them for you and the proceeds will go on to your Pro Shop account. They must be in good condition and recognised brands.

PING, G400 woods, G410, G400, I500 irons

Many players say that ‘inconsistency’ is their main problem. How do you become more consistent? Everyone has good spells in a round, good days in a year, but cannot maintain it for longer. The more comprehensive lesson below allows more time for discussion, full analysis and complete understanding of your own strengths and weaker areas.

Half day (approx. 3 hours) at £80, or £50 each for two players. This is a detailed lesson that is tailored to your main requirements and will include: swing technique, short game, putting, strategy, shot selection, best practice drills for you to maximise your own time, and understanding your own game.

- Out of Bounds on the Practice Area right of the 18th fairway.
- All penalty areas will be marked with red stakes/lines.
- Embedded ball in general area, free drop. Embedded in revetted face of bunker - play as it lies or take a penalty drop: outside of the bunker at nearest point of relief not nearer the hole; or back on line keeping the flag, original position of the ball and dropping point in line; or replay the previous shot.

There are excellent explanations and video clips on the R&A and England Golf websites. We also have the new Rule Books available from the Pro Shop.

Download the R&A Rules App to your phone.

Full list of information is on the Noticeboards.
