Many players say that ‘inconsistency’ is their main problem. How do you become more consistent? Everyone has good spells in a round, good days in a year, but cannot maintain it for longer. The more comprehensive lesson below allows more time for discussion, full analysis and complete understanding of your own strengths and weaker areas.

Half day (approx. 3 hours) at £80, or £50 each for two players. This is a detailed lesson that is tailored to your main requirements and will include: swing technique, short game, putting, strategy, shot selection, best practice drills for you to maximise your own time, and understanding your own game.

FORTHCOMING EVENTS:

Entries now being taken for the Club Knockout Competitions including the Easter Tournament (first come first served entry), Summer Foursomes, Captain's Prize and Mixed Foursomes. Enter and pay over the Bar.

MEMBERS INFORMATION - 2019 RULES of GOLF:
As you will be aware, major changes to the rules were introduced on 1st January.

New Local Rules will be available on printed sheets for the February Medal and new scorecards will be printed asap.

SOME OF THE LOCAL RULES WILL INCLUDE:
- Out of Bounds on the Practice Area right of the 18th fairway.
- All penalty areas will be marked with red stakes/lines.
- Embedded ball in general area, free drop. Embedded in revetted face of bunker - play as it lies or take a penalty drop: outside of the bunker at nearest point of relief not nearer the hole; or back on line keeping the flag, original position of the ball and dropping point in line; or replay the previous shot.

By the time of the official Club competitions from mid March, you will need to be quite clear on the new rules, otherwise you will be caught out by players or opponents who know these rules better than yourself.

There are excellent explanations and video clips on the R&A and England Golf websites. We also have the new Rule Books available from the Pro Shop.

THE COURSE:
Full list of information is on the Noticeboards.

Please note - 17th tee for men is now on fairway playing as 200 yards. This is to help avoid divots in fairway and pitch marks on the green. In competitions, play as a par 3. The Ladies tee remains as normal.

GUR areas are marked with the main areas left of 3rd, left of 11th, left of 14th greens, and right of the 6th green.

Buggies – please keep to paths and fairways, not in the rough or heather.

Work on 1st and 18th holes - these holes are likely to be closed for most of the winter. Updates when necessary, or check with the Pro Shop.

Practice area – the range will be restricted to maximum 200 yards. Strictly no shots beyond this for safety reasons whilst work is ongoing. Chipping green and driving nets remain open.

Sunday mornings, a member may only sign in one guest, maximum, before 12.30pm.
