MEN'S ANNUAL DINNER - TICKET SALES
I am pleased to report that following the announcement that the Men’s Annual Dinner will be hosted in our Clubhouse this year, the interest has been fantastic. We have now received replies from our invited guests, and the Past Captain’s have confirmed their intentions of attending.

Having completed our formalities we will now be releasing the rest of the tickets for sale as of 9.00am on Monday October 29th. However, there is one caveat. Due the size of the room and the large number of positive replies to date, we won’t be guaranteeing tickets until we have received all requests; and we won’t be allowing members to invite any guests at this stage as we believe the event will be oversubscribed.

If you would like to register for tickets, please email Frances Edwards in the office from 9.00am on Monday morning with the names of those people wishing to attend. We will not hold tables for anyone that hasn’t named the members and I must inform you that not all table sizes can are guaranteed as there will be refectory style seating through the middle of the room. Once we have received the initial request for tickets, we will review the names and assign tickets accordingly. We will be giving priority to those who have supported the event at the Prince of Wales in recent years, and from the point that all seats are taken, we will be running a waiting list.

The support for the change of venue this year has surprised all involved, and whilst some of you may be unsuccessful in securing a ticket for this year’s event, we are grateful that there is such a demand. We had 184 attendees last year at the Prince of Wales, which we knew we could accommodate this year in the Clubhouse, and we hope that not too many of you, if any, will be disappointed.

Frances’s email address is admin@sandagolf.co.uk and if you have any questions prior to Monday, please feel free to contact me.

COURSE PROJECT UPDATE
We are in to the final stages of preparation for our project, and as you will have seen around the 18th tee, some of our “pre-project” work has already commenced. The Project Committee are meeting next Wednesday to discuss the final details, but I can confirm that contractors will be on site from Monday November 5th, at which point you may encounter holes closures on the 1st and 18th, and the use of a temporary green on the 17th. Also during the period of works we may need to start all golf from either a temporary tee on the 2nd hole, or the 7th hole, but these will be as needed to work around the contractor areas of work, and to accommodate hole closures etc.

Once final details have been confirmed we will send out another communication with information, that said, we ask all of you to bear with us during the period of works as it is not always possible to know in advance of when an area may be closed and re-opened for use.

Thank you for your cooperation during this period of improvement works, and as always, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.
