There will be pressure on tee times, due to limited daylight, as always in early Spring. Signing up for 24th March will be from Saturday 10rd March. Please make sure you only sign up if you KNOW you can play. If you have to cancel then please do so at the earliest opportunity.

A complete list of all GUR areas is on noticeboards around the Clubhouse. If your ball is on the fairway AND in an aeration hole, you may lift and place within a scorecard length not nearer the hole.

- Until further notice, FAIRWAY PROTECTION – on several fairways on the course, there are areas marked by white lines eg. short of 2nd green, middle of 3rd fairway, etc. If your ball is one of these areas, you MUST play from a mat. You can rent a mat from the shop at £5 refundable deposit.
- Temporary greens – when not in use, you must either take a free drop OFF the temporary green at the nearest point of relief OR use a putter if you choose to play the ball as it lies.
- Practice area – now hit from mats only over the winter period.
- PREFERRED LIES on fairways, now in play – notices will be displayed on the first tee.
- Recent rain means softer greens – PLEASE REPAIR ALL PITCH MARKS – you may not make pitch marks in summer but everyone is at present.
- FOG – there is a chance of foggy days at this time of year. You are reminded that our Club Rule states that; If the flag on the 1st green is not visible from the 1st tee, then the course will be closed.
- BUGGIES – on frosty days buggies will not be allowed as they cause too much damage to the fairways and green surrounds.
